Dimitrios Zacharakis
WEAVINGS
Presence is never tangible,
total absence is inconceivable.
The twin existence of spirit
produces a necessary faith.
When it recedes, three doors
always stay open, misleading.
Games, the happiness of knowledge.
Prostitution, the knowledge of love.
Drinking, the immoderate desire for bliss.
No matter how deeply you go in,
they offer a shallow reassurance
winding around you. You better
wish not to be surrounded.
Poetry, Solace and Passion,
sizeable figures defined
uneasily,
create the natural openings
as they pervade all that is conceivable,
weaving the innumerable
folds of veils.
