Praktischer Rat von Christian Kirsch

I also made the experience and had to learn over the past years, that the acceptance and support of third parties depends to a large degree on concept and its economic feasibility. Accordingly some basic questions have crystallized themselves to my mind, such as, for example, how willing are we

This is not easy, as each initiator of cultural and artistic projects strives towards establishing own characteristics to be recognized by – in the hope to achieve a break-through alone. Here I had to experience painful interventions and learn some important lessons. As 'practitioner of culture' one stands as a rule outside the financial and investment streams, unless one is a part of the entertainment industry.

In case of working together with a third party, following questions are posed:

To heed the common interests of the projects appears to me as something essential. Most of the projects die quietly at the latest after the death of its respective initiator, unless they are integrated into a really large, financially strong project or else they are so strongly structured, that they continue to exist.

As to the conference in Berlin – addressing Hatto Fischer

I sense what energy you had to exert, in order to bring it about.

Are you satisfied, have you attained your goals?

The vast differences in expertise knowledge of the participants was evident and in my view the discussion had foremostly a theoretical / philosophical orientation.

At the same time, there was noticable some link to the activities by Spyros Mercouris, as honorary president of the ECCM Network to support the European Capital of Culture initiative. It is not as of yet clear to me how a durable structure can be created. Most likely there is needed a renewal of the structure and some financial capacity, but which shall not be easy, since the general acceptance of the idea of a European Capital of Culture has been secured.

Christian Kirsch vom Internationalen Delphi Rat

Bist Du zufrieden, hast Du Deine Ziele erreicht?
