An artist's view of Kastelli: Asit Poddar
Coming from Kolkata, India, Asit Poddar did study in Japan, and there he met Takuya Kaneda. Since then, he is linked as artist to Kids' Guernica in a special way. After 2006 he commenced to do murals with the blind boys.

Asit Poddar is as an artist versatile. He works with his camera, but also drawing pencil. The outcome was a series of sketches as to how he perceives Kastelli.

An artist sees other things, sees them differently, senses the relationship between spaces and lines which connect and divide them, and acknowledges that other difference, given the fact that Asit Poddar comes from India and sees things in Europe, Greece and in Crete from another angle.
