Atelier in 2009
Picasso's atelier
The floor space explains in part why the canvas for Guernica was 7,8 x 3,5 m. It just covered the surface of the floor. To the right were benches with a table running along the wall. Above the table just as on the other walls were Picasso's works - sketches he used while developing his idea for Guernica.
The poster can be seen at the back of the gallery.
Image of Picasso presumably around 1937
The bull or Minotauros
The horse appears as well in Guernica
