Creativity as slogan - creative cities, cultural hubs etc.

Culture for mass consumption - some income is secured by re-use of former industrial buildings but that is about all what can be claimed as being a cultural content worth noting. At least, many come to this negative appraisal once a European Capital of Culture has completed its one year and claims as legacy a cultural hub.
Creativity as term has become a prime one for even EU cultural policy. It aims to promote the Creative and Cultural Industries, and thereby links creativity to innovation.
The slogan finds itself again in the term 'creative cities'.
