Children in Sao Paulo, Brazil: virtual freedom

 

"At Submersion,( the blue panel I sent pictures to you) children are playing but closed inside bubbles and under water. It is a way to show my reflection about the limited children's freedom in a big and violent city. In São Paulo children are growing without freedom and they are getting used with this kind of life. To many people, trying to stay far from the violence at the streets, are living closed inside their homes.

After the panel I did two videos called: Virtual Freedom. In the first one, the same kids are playing with the bubbles, and in the second video the kids are destroying the bubbles."
