"No Respect": Graffiti and street art at the OCC

  11 April 2014 - July 2014 Monday - Sunday 12:00-21:00 Exhibition Hall

Official text:

"The OCC is staging an in-house exhibition which sets out to document the Greek graffiti and street art scene as this manifests itself on the streets of Athens and other cities around Greece today.
Each of the forty works on display was created in situ by a different artist, some of the many who responded to the OCC’s open invitation to exhibit. The works cover the walls, columns and floor of the exhibition space as well as cars placed within it.
A making-of video will be screened in the exhibition space. The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue with photographic material and information about the artists."

One report of the opening on April 11, 2014:

„Had we arrived too early? Or were we in the wrong room? Either way, something was amiss as apart from a few cars we were standing in an empty room at the Onassis Cultural Centre waiting for our scout to show up. Just when we were about to leave, he rocked up alongside groups of people holding spray cans, markers and other street art paraphernalia. We were at the inauguration of 'No Respect', an exhibition where 40 graffiti artists create projects there and then on the spot. We couldn't believe our eyes as walls, pillars, cars, and even the floor was decorated with street art of all shapes and sizes. No need to scour Athens to see great street art, it's all here!

P.S Relive those moments of creation via the 'making of' video project in the showroom displaying how the projects were made.“
