Cherry Blossoms

Cherry blossoms reflects a philosophical attitude towards life in Japan. For life is considered to be so sweet or beautiful but also so short as the cherry blossoms. They bloom for two weeks. All Japanese go out to enjoy this display of nature.

Cherry Blossoms from Japan exhibited in Kastelli, Crete

The peace mural of cherry blossoms was created by 200 people, from three year-old to eighty-six year-old, in Tokyo. Each participant printed an image of flower on a huge sheet of rice paper by a stencil technique. The whole art work is showing that all the flowers are singing a song of peace together.

The mural is extremely light since made out of rice paper.
