Over the years, Joseph Nechvatal has reflected upon art but all of it started when walking through Chicago and suddenly noticing church windows: their colours but fragments of light filtering through them.

One of his most interesting standpoints can be summed up as a 'reason for failures'. It shows a deep understanding of art, and what an artist can do.

He shall participate in the 55th Biennale in Venice, and this with an interesting approach to 'sound', insofar as he calls his piece: 'immersion in noise'.
