Project
40 people at the age of 18 to 27 tried to discover and define what notions of nation and patriotism mean nowadays for younger generations. Two key questions were posed:
1) How much does nationality influence identity?
2) How can patriotism of today be defined without falling into the trap of nationalism?
Key words: nation, patriotism, nationalism, identity
In between the two meetings participants conducted a series of interviews with young people from their respective countries, in order to analyse opinions of the young people. The results of the research are published.
The meeting in Kreisau consisted besides political and historical analysis of a series of workshops on nationality and identity.
At the second meeting in Padua participants evaluated the outcome of the interviews.
