Kids' Guernica in France

- Theatre de la Vallee: Gerold Schumann organised the painting of two murals which were then exhibited together with three more murals in Ecouen. Exhibition opening: 7th of May 2009. The following day marking end of Second World War and therefore a national holiday in France, but not in Germany was marked by a memorial ceremony in the cemetery with all going to the Kids' Guernica exhibition afterwards.
- Workshop with students of the class of Prof. Monique Kissel
- Action in the atelier of Picasso where he painted Guernica, Paris Oct. - Nov. 2009. This action was coordinated by Boris Tissot with Jad Salman participating. The action involved adults attempting to show children how to use design techniques to cover the entire canvas which has the original size of Picasso's Guernica, namely 7,8 x 3,5 m
- Exhibition by students of the class of Monique Kissel from University Saint Denis in Vincennes with opening on 11th of November 2010
- "The other: enemy or friend", Kids' Guernica Exhibition in Gezoncourt, France with coordination by Alexandra Zanne, 12th of November 2010
In 2009 recognition by the European Commission
- Recognition of Kids' Guernica by the European Commission as an innovative and creative project which has not been funded so far by the EU. This recognition comes in the year which the European Commission has decided to designate 2009 as the „Year of Innovation and Creativity“.
