Mission Statement
By bringing together ‘creativity’ and ‘practical actions’, POIEIN kai PRATTEIN wishes to promote civic values through Good Practice. Governance of civil society should be based on the equality of gender, human dignity and participation and make possible democratic decision making processes. The aim is to promote through daily decisions the quality of civil life based on non-violence, equal opportunities, transparency and accountability – as part of civil governance: one of the main prerequisites for social cohesion and sustainable development.
Priorities of POIEIN KAI PRATTEIN
- provide cultural orientation and further good cultural planning practices
- participate in European and International projects to further innovation
- uphold sound knowledge based on civic values and reliable sources
- disseminate EU information and promote EU debate
- seek active usage of the Internet Radio and other publication activities
- organize work shops, seminars and conferences with interdisciplinary character
- network with other NGOs and other organisations in order to promote Civil Society
- engage in activities aiming to bring about sustainable development
- engage in Civil Protection and Civil Rights of Citizens
- contribute towards improvements of conditions of life in cities and regions
- promote urban based cultural policies e.g. European Cultural Capital Cities
- take up challenges faced by the museum sector and other cultural institutions
- undertake such cultural actions that bring about cultural cooperation at all levels
- uphold the Rights of Children, Youth, the Elderly, Women and Men in all walks of life
POIEIN KAI PRATTEIN prepares and implements European projects in collaboration with Local Authorities, NGOs, SMEs, Institutions, Universities and other international bodies.
Poiein Kai Prattein collaborates with Kids' Guernica International to make possible peace murals on a canvas the same size as Picasso's Guernica (7,8 x 3,5 m).
